Show Notes

(00:00-26:42) – Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook open Friday’s show by recapping the Purdue Boilermakers losing in catastrophic fashion last night to the Maryland Terrapins, who they would want as the offensive coordinator of the Colts, and then how odd the timing of Shane Steichen and the Colts nearing an agreement to become their next head coach was.

(26:42-40:00) – Publisher of GoldAndBlack.com in Alan Karpick joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook and the Fan Midday Show to break down what happened last night in College Park, if it’s time to really panic about Purdue with the Big Ten and NCAA Tournament quickly approaching, and how it’s important for Purdue to stay on the one-seed line for the NCAA Tournament.

(40:00-49:31) – Hour number one concludes with Brian and Jimmy explaining how the Colts return to success could take a couple seasons and that fans may not see immediate return on investment with Steichen and the young quarterback that’s being paired with him.

(49:31-1:18:36) – The Athletic’s James Boyd joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show to highlight some of players that stood out to him at the Senior Bowl when he watched the practices, where he thinks the Colts need to improve the most outside the quarterback, and which quarterback he likes the most in the NFL Draft.

(1:18:36-1:31:55) – Brian and Jimmy shift their conversation to the XFL with their season starting this weekend and highlight some of the rule changes that they are experimenting with that they’d like to see the NFL implement along with some rules they’d like to see be changed in college basketball.

(1:31:55-1:41:41) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian, Jimmy, and producer Eddie Garrison begging the NBA to start getting A list or B list players into the dunk contest after examining the field for this year and share some odds that sportsbooks have released for the three-point contest featuring Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton.

(1:41:41-2:10:21) – The final hour of today’s show starts with one half of Kevin & Query in Kevin Bowen joining Brian and Jimmy to give his thoughts on Young vs Stroud, if he would be surprised if Indiana made it further in the NCAA Tournament than Purdue considering how their seasons have gone, and his overall analysis of Tiger Woods performance in The Genesis Invitational.

(2:10:21-2:20:32) – Jimmy and Brian shift their conversation back to the Indianapolis Colts because Brian’s initial feeling of Shane Steichen was far off from how he actually feels about Steichen after listening to him talk and doing research on his background.

(2:20:32-2:30:18) – Brian and Jimmy conclude today’s show by getting the JCook Plays of the Day along with producer Eddie Garrison’s lone play on the night and sharing their worst bad beat losses.
