Ep 474'Old Crimson : WSU defense broken. Dickert needs to make changes. What's wrong with Arbuckle? Dickert disrespectful to Oregon State?
On this weeks ‘Old Crimson, Jason “Puck” Puckett is once again joined by Paul Sorensen, Jim Moore and Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com The boys get right into the loss to New Mexico, which has now kicked them out of the College Football playoff discussion. Once again the Cougars defense failed to deliver and Puck brought up the point that he would like to see a coaching change at the defensive coordinator position or at least have Jake Dickert take over play calling duties. They question the offensive strategy under Ben Arbuckle and wonder why he went away from the running game so quickly in the second half when it was working so effectively in the first half? Should the Cougs incorporate more zone read for John Mateer moving forward? And, again the problem with the Air Raid is their lack of commitment to staying consistent with the rushing attack. Dickert made headlines this week when he said Oregon State are not there buddies. Some in the Cougars community have taken issue with what he said. Paul and Puck didn’t see the problem with what he said, but Jim did and they discuss. Lastly, now that the carrot of the playoffs is over, what motivates the team for the last two weeks?

Danny Kelly, The Ringer, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett to rap about the NFL, Seahawks, the Legion of Boom, Earl Thomas and fantasy football. Earl Thomas is back! Puck and Danny go down the rabbit hole of talking about the Legion of Boom. Devon Witherspoon is the closest thing to the L.O.B. that they have had since that group was on the field. Expectations have now changed for the Seahawks and it’s incredible to watch and follow this team week in and week out. The Seahawks can be in first place this weekend which is incredible to think of! Ep 468Daily Puck Drop: Sports are dumb and incredible at the same time. Guests: Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 "Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast."
On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Puck starts off the show without Jim Moore, who is out sick, talking bout the Seahawks win and that without a doubt it was a signature win for Mike Macdonald. The Seahawks season was on the brink and they were able to pull off a great win on the road. Geno was great on the final drive and the defense looked like how we all thought Mike Macdonald’s defense was going to look. Puck switched gears and talked about the Cougars loss to New Mexico and once again the defense continues to be an issue. Puck thinks a change needs to be made with their defensive coordinator and let Jake Dickert just call the defense for the final two games of the season. But, Puck could sense a loss was coming and it finally did. Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 join Jason “Puck” Puckett for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast brought to you by Georgetown Brewery. All three agree that was clearly the best win of the season and one of the best wins for the Seahawks in the last several years. The defense was no doubt the story from the game, but the performance of Geno Smith, especially on the final drive was quintessential the “Geno Smith Roller Coaster” experience! Offensive line looked better with Abe Lucas back and Olu Oluwatimi playing center. However, as the three discussed, the running game is still very much an issue. Devon Witherspoon was everywhere and just showed why he’s such an unbelievable weapon for Macdonald. The play of Tyrice Knight and Ernest Jones was phenomenal and illustrated why a move at linebacker was necessary. All of sudden the Seahawks have a legitimate shot to claim first place in the division next week. Sports are dumb and terrific at the same time. Puck then returns and discusses the rest of the sports weekend with “Weekend Roundup.” The dud that was the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul fight, however, the women’s fight was incredible. Are the Steelers now a legit Super Bowl contender? Drew Lock can’t catch a break and big deal the Bills beat the Chiefs. Prove it in the playoffs. Finally, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck goes back to the Seahawks. Sports are incredibly stupid and incredibly awesome at the same time. Most Seahawks fans and Puck included had written this team off, but they found a way to have a gutsy physical win. A win that could very well define Mike Macdonald and the rest of the season.

They welcome Lofa Tatupu to the show to talk about the Seahawks game against the 49ers and how the Seahawks could possibly pull off the upset. Lofa details his business ventures with Savage Brewery and 1937 Cannabis Farms. Lofa said he was surprised that the Seahawks moved on from their linebackers but understands the decision. Lofa sees a lack of physicality and play making ability from that group. Lofa is also surprised by the sloppiness and undisciplined football from the players and the coaches. As they turn their attention to the 49ers, the biggest question is how do you stop Christian McCaffrey? it will take the whole defense to focus and gang tackle, something as Lofa points out that they have been bad at this season. PuckSports handicapperTroyWins.com joins the boys to discuss the upcoming football weekend. Troy gives his “Lock of the Week” and all three introduce a new segment, “Dog of the Week.” Each picked an underdog and will keep tally for the rest of the season. That question leads to the discussion with the Bears and Caleb Williams. Who will be the next coach of the Bears? They obviously have to hire an offensive minded coach. Would Lincoln Riley of USC be the perfect fit? What is wrong with the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones? Also, Mike and Puck would be thrilled to see Deion Sanders land with the Cowboys…Amazing theater! Currently the only internal option to play third base is Josh Rojas. This weeks ‘Old Crimson Cougars Podcast with Jason “Puck” Puckett and Paul Sorensen, Jim Moore and Jamey Vinnick, Cougfan.com. They take a quick look back at the Utah State game and chatted how it was a relatively easy win. Puck did wonder why John Mateer was playing late into the game, but understood that Jake Dickert probably wanted some style points. The majority of the conversation surrounds the future of quarterback John Mateer. How much will it cost to keep Mateer around? Paul tells the boys that he has already heard that Mateer has a seven-figure offer on the table from another school. Paul didn’t specifically know the school, but the poaching and competition has already started for Mateer. Can the Cougs compete on that level? There is obviously a price tag for anyone and they all agreed that if Mateer receives over a million dollars to play football, than he should take that, because anyone would do that. They hope he doesn’t, but they understand why he would. They chat about the upcoming against New Mexico and Paul and Puck try to convince Jim that it will be a much harder game than he thinks. Jim is cocky about the game and doesn’t think Paul and Puck should be all that concerned. Keith told Puck that when he transferred to Louisville he felt lost, but coming to Pullman he once again found his love for football and he credits Jack Dickert for that love. The Cougs have three games left in the season, how difficult is to stay focused on the one game at a time mentality? Keith does acknowledge the difficulties with that perspective but says it’s been their mindset all season long.

Ep 456John Canzano Show: Cost to keep John Mateer and can WSU afford him?
John Canzano, JohnCanzano.comjoins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly look into college football. They jump right into the discussion surrounding WSU quarterback John Mateer. Does he get a sense that Mateer wants to look elsewhere or is he happy in Pullman? Should Jedd Fisch move on from Will Rogers and start Demond Williams the rest of the season. The Huskies are not going to a major bowl game so why keep playing Rogers? John and Puck both agree that the NIL has something to do with the decision surrounding Rogers. What are the expectations for the Cougars and the college football rankings tonight and what type of chaos do they need in front of them to sneak in to the CFP. John was on the scene in Utah covering the “Holy War” between Utah and BYU. He reacts to the scene where the Utah AD claims that the game was stolen from them. Utah does not have an exit fee and can leave the Big 12 any time they want, would they jump and come back to the Pac-12? John dishes on those chances. Lastly, John and Puck talk about the passing of former Blazers broadcaster Brian Wheeler. A gentle and troubled sole.

Ep 455Danny Kelly Show: Worst offseason under John Schneider
Danny Kelly, The Ringer joins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly visit talking Seahawks, NFL and fantasy football. Danny ponders the question that Puck asked about John Schneider’s offseason. Was this the worst one under his tenure? If the Seahawks are headed to a rebuild in the offseason, should they commit dollars to D.K. Metcalf and Geno Smith? If they do move on from Geno, what are there options in the draft. Danny details the upcoming draft class for quarterbacks. Puck asks Danny, if the Seahawks lose their next two games to the 49ers and Cardinals, would they be best served to lose their remaining games to get better draft position? Danny makes a compelling argument against that strategy. It’s a Waiver Wire Tuesday, and Danny shares with Puck the best pickups in fantasy football. They wrap up their segment with their weekly feature, “Barge of the Week.” They put a player, coach, team or front office NFL personnel on a barge and send them out to the Pacific Ocean. Danny put Jerry Jones on the barge and Puck went with John Schneider.

John Canzano, JohnCanzano.comjoins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly look into college football. They jump right into the discussion surrounding WSU quarterback John Mateer. What would he fetch money wise in the transfer portal? John estimates that the going rate for a top QB is over a million dollars. Can the Cougs afford to keep Mateer around? Finally, Puck wraps up the show with “Hey, What the Puck?!” Puck discusses the situation in Chicago with Caleb Williams. It’s why it’s so important to have the right coaching staff in place when you select a quarterback of the future in the first round.

Ep 453Washington State High School Football Playoff Preview Show
Our Washington State Football State Championship Playoff Preview show. Jason “Puck” Puckett hosts and is joined by Todd Milles, ScorebookLive.wa, Jon Manley, Tacoma News-Tribune and Chris Egan, KING 5. The 16 seed state football playoffs get underway this week and the four preview the upcoming playoffs. They go over the favorites in each classification. Can Lake Stevens get a three-peat? Who can prevent another Bellevue title at the 3A level. What makes Royal so dominant in 1A. Tumwater is once again the favorite in 2A and it’s a wide open 4A. Roosevelt is one of the better teams in the 3A, but they are currently under investigation for recruiting violations, how does that change things in the 3A bracket. As the high school football season winds down, they four talk about the importance of covering high school athletics and why those three do the best in the region.
Ep 452Ground Puck Podcast: Are the Seahawks any closer to a Super Bowl?
Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 join Jason “Puck”Puckett for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. They discuss the chances of Seattle trying to avoid a 6-11 finish. What would it take for Seattle to spend their offseason in a rebuild mode? Curtis doesn’t think Seattle is that far off, Puck and Tim aren’t so sure. If they do decided to play D.K. Metcalf in the offseason, do they have enough money to improve their offensive line? What happens if they move on from Geno Smith? Curtis argues that you should be careful what you wish for. Geno is not the number one problem. Even though Geno is not the problem, they don’t have a future quarterback on their roster. The Cardinals look for real and the 49ers have Christian McCaffrey back so winning the division will be that much more difficult. Does John Schneider have the confidence of the ownership group to make wholesale changes to his roster in the offseason?
Ep 451Daily Puck Drop: 6-11 record for Seahawks? Bring Utes back! Honoring Brian Wheeler. Guests: Jim Moore. Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast w/ Curtis Crabtree & Tim Booth
On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy and his weekly visit with Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Puck and Jim start off talking about Puck’s visit to Pullman to watch the Cougs dismantle Utah State. Puck talks about the crowd in Pullman and celebrating his anniversary with his wife Saturday night in Moscow, Idaho! Since there was no Seahawks game to go over, Puck and Jim chat about where they are headed. If the Seahawks finish 6-11, what will there offseason look like? At that point, a rebuild should definitely be on the table for the Seahawks. The Seahawks need to revamp their offensive line, can they do that if they have too much money tied up with their skilled position players?Russell Wilson continues to shine for the Steelers, in fact, some in the media are already talking about Pittsburgh about being a sneaky Super Bowl contending team. If Wilson keeps this up he will win the NFL comeback player of the year. Things are unraveling in Dallas and Puck and Jim can’t believe that Micha Parsons called out his head coach Mike McCarthy publicly! Also, because Puck and Jim are degenerate gamblers that can’t figure out how the Seahawks are only getting +6.5 against the 49ers. Lastly, Utah is upset about the officiating in their game with BYU. The AD of Utah was critical of the Big 12 and Puck says that the Pac-12 should call Utah immediately and try and lure them back to the conference! The Cardinals look for real and the 49ers have Christian McCaffrey back so winning the division will be that much more difficult. Does John Schneider have the confidence of the ownership group to make wholesale changes to his roster in the offseason? Finally, Puck wraps up with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Honoring Brian Wheeler. Great broadcaster. Great friend and a young broadcaster will forever be indebted to Wheels.

Ep 450Chris Egan Show: Seahawks no closer to a SB. Parents to blame for lack of coaches. H.S. football playoffs.
Chris Egan, KING 5, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly chat brought to you by Fatzach’s Pizza. Egan and Puck jump right into the issues with the Seattle Seahawks and just how far are they away from winning a championship? Should they pay D.K. Metcalf and Geno Smith in the offseason? Puck asks Egan the same question that Ryan Divish asked Puck this week, which Seattle professional team is the closest to winning a championship? The teams are the Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken and Husky football. Egan agreed with Puck and Divish that the Seattle Mariners are the closest team in Seattle to winning a championship. The main reason is that the Mariners have the best pitching staff in baseball and the best catcher in baseball. Those other teams don’t have the best anything. Egan and Puck shifted the conversation to middle school sports and why their is a lack of coaching at that level, because Puck and Egan are now coaching basketball because their schools don’t have anyone that has stepped up. Why are adults and teachers not coaching anymore? The number one reason is that they don’t want to deal with parents. Egan also highlights a busy night in high school football as the state playoffs get underway.

Ep 449Daily Puck Drop: Cougar fans don't show up. Pulling for Lamar Jackson. Lack of coaches, parents to blame. Guests: Chis Egan, KING 5
On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett was joined by Chris Egan, KING 5 for his weekly visit. Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy and handicapper Troy West had the Friday off. Puck opened up the show by discussing a topic for Cougar fans, why aren’t you showing up to home games? Puck asks the audience why they don’t go and gives his thoughts to why fans don’t attend games, especially fans from the West side. The common theme from the audience was cost. Puck wonders what the school and community can do to make it more cost affordable to attend games. Why are adults and teachers not coaching anymore? The number one reason is that they don’t want to deal with parents. Egan also highlights a busy night in high school football as the state playoffs get underway. Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck talks about Kirk Herbstreit and the loss of his dog Ben. If you have a dog you understand the impact that dogs have on you and your family. They really are a major part of your family.
Ep 448Mike Garafolo Show: Will the Seahawks rebuild? Trade D.K. in the offseason.
Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly visit from the Los Angeles airport. Mike and Puck jump right into the NFL trade deadline and discuss how many teams called the Seahawks about trading for D.K. Metcalf? Mike tells Puck that the biggest offseason storyline will surround the status of quarterback Geno Smith. Do the Seahawks feel he is the answer? If they do, what type of offer will be made? If they decided to move on, what options are out there for Seattle and if they do move on, why keep Metcalf if you don’t have a viable solution at QB? Puck asks Garafolo if the Seahawks will be in rebuild mode this offseason? Mike disagrees with Puck on their current state. Garafolo gives a health update on Christian McCaffrey, Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson. What trades made sense to Mike and what trades did he think were going to happen but didn’t happen. The Carolina Panthers gave an extension to their running back…why?!

Ep 447Daily Puck Drop: Seahawks Rebuild. D.K. Metcalf trade. Why the Mariners have the best shot at a championship. Don't let Jake Dickert leave. Guests: Mike Garafolo, NFL Network
On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett rides solo until he welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network to the show for his weekly visit. Puck opens up the show discussing his conversation with Rob Staton, from SeahawksDraftblog.com on Thursday. What happens to the Seahawks if they fail in their next three games that includes the 49ers, Cardinals and New York Jets? The organization should start thinking about a rebuild. Because at that point you are no closer to winning a championship how you are currently constructed. The Seahawks rebuilt back in 2010, so they have done it before. Rebuilds in football don’t take that long. But serious conversations need to be had that asks is it worth giving D.K. Metcalf and Geno Smith big deals if they don’t have a proper offensive line?Puck also touches in on his love affair for the Kingdome because Puck is wearing hat and sweatshirt from the Kingdome. After Mike’s appearance, Puck chats about a topic that Ryan Divish, Seattle Times, brought up on his weekly show on Wednesday about which professional team in Seattle is the closest to winning a championship? Both Puck and Divish agree on their answer and it’s really not close. Puck also touches in on the future of WSU head coach Jake Dickert. John Canzano on Tuesday pointed out that Anne McCoy, the WSU AD and Dickert’s client agent have talked about a new deal about keeping him for the next ten years, but there are some reservations from upper campus about giving him that type of deal in today’s climate in college athletics. Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck reads a twitter post from a coach at UNLV that tells current high school football players should savior this week because it is most likely the last time they will ever suit up playing football.

Ep 446Puck the Huskies Podcast: Can UW compete in new NIL world?
On this weeks Puck the Huskies Podcast, Jason "Puck" Puckett and former Husky defensive tackle Jordan Reffett breakdown the Huskies win over USC and they preview the upcoming game at Penn State. The boys gave Elise Woodward the week off. Puck and Jordan questioned the decision making of Lincoln Riley in the game and wondered why he didn't run the football more because that is the weakness of the Husky defense, not their passing defense. Both agreed that time is running out for Riley at USC and that they expect a change. They took a deep dive into Washington's NIL situation. Why isn't Washington competing more with the other college football heavyweights in that space? UW is one of the rare schools in the country that has a storied history but also in a major city. You would think companies would be lining up at the school, but they aren't. Why?Lastly, is making a bowl game important? Jordan, as a former player, shares his thoughts.

Ep 445Rob Staton Show: Are the Seahawks close to a rebuild?
Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com, drops by for his weekly visit to talk Seahawks football with Jason “Puck” Puckett. And, once again they get right into the play off the offensive line and how poor it was against the Rams. Puck asks Rob if it’s fair to question whether the Seahawks got it right with Mike Macdonald? It was a topic Puck brought up yesterday with Danny Kelly of The Ringer and Rob wanted to respond. They both agreed that they didn’t know, which is ok to admit! They also wondered and discussed that it’s not fair to fully evaluate offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb because Grubb is only getting to a fraction of his play sheet because of the issues along the offensive line. They also discussed the trade market for D.K. Metcalf and if it makes sense in the offseason to consider moving on from Metcalf if they determined that they need to be in rebuilding mode. Puck thinks an offseason rebuild needs to be on the table if they continue to lose games, especially the next three. Is it worth spending money on a receiver and a quarterback if you don’t have an offensive line to protect them? How much times does John Schneider have? probably more than you think.

Ep 444Ryan Divish Show: Mariners closest Seattle team to a championship? Should they trade a young pitcher?
Ryan Divish, Seattle Times is back to join Jason “Puck” Puckett, for the Mariners “Cold Stove” Offseason Report. They quickly dive into the M’s biggest offseason needs, which are improving the infield and specifically second base, however, there is not much talent out there on the free agent market, nor do the M’s feel propelled to trade one of their young pitchers to upgrade that position. Ryan calculated, along with Adam Jude of the Seattle Times, in their most recent “Extra Innings” Podcast, that the Mariners have between $20-25 million to spend on free agents for the upcoming season. Divish explains to Puck why he doesn’t think the M’s will trade one of their young pitchers and says if they do end up trading a pitcher, the most likely pitcher to be dealt would be Luis Castillo. Divish asked Puck a great question during the show, of the major professional teams in Seattle and they included Husky football, and the Seahawks, Mariners and Kraken. Who is the closest to winning a championship? They both agreed it’s probably the Mariners!

Ep 443Daily Puck Drop : Please stop saying D.K. won't be traded. Time for a Seahawks rebuild? Mariners close to a World Series? Guests: Ryan Divish, Seattle Times and Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com
On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is riding solo as Jim Moore, who usually joins on Wednesday’s had to attend to a personal matter, but Puck rolls on as he welcomes his regular weekly guests, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times and Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com Puck opens up the show with his criticism of local reporters who claim that the national media was and is just making up a story about D.K. Metcalf and perhaps being traded. As Puck points out it’s the same group that claimed that Russell Wilson was never going to be traded and anyone that ever brought that up was uneducated and didn’t have a clue about the situation because they weren’t “local” and didn’t have boots on the ground. It’s just inaccurate to say that the Seahawks didn’t listen to offers. They obviously didn’t have an offer they liked so that’s why they didn’t trade him, but to suggest that reporters like Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, who joins Puck every week or Adam Schefter of ESPN just simply made up a story is just complete nonsense and Puck can’t understand why they didn’t learn their lesson from the Wilson trade. Is it worth spending money on a receiver and a quarterback if you don’t have an offensive line to protect them? How much times does John Schneider have? probably more than you think. Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck disagrees with the NBA’s decision to suspend Sixers center Joel Embiid for his encounter with a Philadelphia columnist.

Ep 441Old Crimson Cougars Podcast: Playoff Rankings revealed. Rooting for the Huskies. Jake Dickert contract extension.
On this weeks ‘Old Crimson Cougars Podcast, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy and Paul Sorensen, All-American safety at WSU and Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com The boys jump right into the latest College Football Playoff rankings, where the Cougs come in at # 21 for the first week. Were they surprised that Colorado was ahead of them in the polls? What are the realistic expectations for the Cougars and the playoffs? Puck, Jim and Paul get into the debate of whether they should be pulling for the Huskies in their remaining games of the season? Paul and Puck are adamant that Cougar fans should be pulling for UW the rest of the season, but, Jim can’t bring himself to rooting for the Huskies. It gets heated between the three! They welcome Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com to discuss the rankings and get an update on the team, including kicker Dean Janikowski, who suffered a broken hand, most likely coming from his incident with a San Diego State player. After Jamey leaves, Puck, Jim and Paul continue to discuss the playoffs and they try to convince Jim to root for the Huskies! They chat about Dickert’s future and react to a clip from John Canzano on the contract situation with Dickert and the fact that some in upper campus at WSU may be put off about giving him a new contract with the current climate. Lastly, Puck asks Paul and Jim if the Beavers should lay down their sword when they meet on November 23? Puck was obviously being sarcastic, but all three pondered how they would feel if the Beavers were the ones to knock the Cougs out of the playoffs!

Ep 442Cougs Corner: WSU basketball coach David Riley. New look team. Changing landscape of college athletics. DNA of team?
This weeks Cougs Corner with Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes WSU basketball coach David Riley, who is preparing for his first season as the new Cougars head coach. Riley and Puck chat about the upcoming game on November 21 in Spokane featuring the Cougs and Eastern Washington. Proceeds of the gate will go and support the Cougar Collective. What will Cougar fans expect from this years team, in which it will look vastly different from a year ago under Kyle Smith. One thing you will notice right away is a more up tempo offense that has a very European feel to it. Riley goes through all the new players on the team and gives Puck a scouting report on each one. They also get into the changing landscape of college athletics and that its geared more towards a younger coach, but the demands of a coach and his staff are vey different and it’s something that Riley hopes the NCAA can regulate in the future.

Ep 440John Canzano Show: Coug fans, root for UW. Can WSU keep Jake Dickert? Why has civility been lost in society?
John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com, drops by to talk all things college football. Do the Cougs have a realistic shot at 11-1 and squeaking into the College Football Playoff? What did Canzano think of Jim Moore’s thoughts about not rooting for UW, despite it benefiting the Cougars. Puck reiterates how crazy Jim is for thinking this way. Jake Dickert has been consistent to wanting to only coach ten more years and he’s made it clear that he wants it to be in Pullman. What is his contract status? Jim has all the info from inside the building on his current deal and what a future deal could deal could look like. When USC and Jen Cohen decide to fire Lincoln Riley, who does John think she will call first? Three big names and all with Northwest ties. Finally, John and Puck talk about how society has lost its civility and its ability to communicate and interact with one another. Latest examples were the Jason Kelce incident at Penn State and Joel Embiid with a Philadelphia columnist.

Ep 439Danny Kelly Show: Is Mike Macdonald the guy? John Schneider QB and OL Problem that will cost him his job.
Danny Kelly, The Ringer, who covers all things NFL pays Jason “Puck” Puckett a visit and they look back to the Seahawks loss to the Rams and the things they could have done better to secure the win. They jumped into the decision to go for it on 4th down and the play call that they went with. Can Ryan Grubb and the offense really get to their playbook if they can’t actually block?Puck asked Danny if after nine games it’s fair to question whether the decision to hire Mike Macdonald was the correct one? The team has been as sloppy as they have ever been. Is that the result of coaching? What about the future of Seahawks GM/President John Schneider? Under his tenure they have failed to address the offensive line and have had no plan at quarterback since Russell Wilson left. If they can’t turn this around in the next year or two, Schneider will find himself out of a job. Lastly, Danny answers your fantasy football questions as it’s “Waiver Wire Tuesday”.

Ep 438Daily Puck Drop: Don't be a Jim Moore, root for UW to win. Fair to question Mike Macdonald hire. Guests: Danny Kelly, The Ringer. John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com
On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett was joined by his weekly guests, Danny Kelly, The Ringer and John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com Puck starts off the show talking about the Washington State Cougars chances of making the College Football Playoffs as the first rankings come out on Tuesday night. Puck reacts to the show on Monday where Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, would rather see the Huskies lose all their games rather than win, which would help out the Cougars. Puck thinks Jim and any Cougars fan that thinks that way is crazy. You already beat them! If the Huskies beat Penn State and Oregon it makes the Cougars win look better. It’s an absolute no brainer to root for Washington. Danny Kelly, The Ringer, who covers all things NFL pays Jason “Puck” Puckett a visit and they look back to the Seahawks loss to the Rams and the things they could have done better to secure the win. They jumped into the decision to go for it on 4th down and the play call that they went with. Latest examples were the Jason Kelce incident at Penn State and Joel Embiid with a Philadelphia columnist. Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck responds more to the lost civility in our society and addresses the recent layoffs at iHeartMedia and why he has never regretted his decision to leave the station he loved.

Ep 437Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast: Offensive line worst in Seahawks history. Would you turn to Sam Howell?
Puck goes back to the Seahawks as Tim Booth , Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 join Puck for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Once again they focus in on the awful offensive line play and until that ever fixes itself, the team will continue to lose games like they did on Sunday to the Rams. They discuss the decision by Mike Macdonald to go for it on fourth down in overtime. Tim and Curtis liked the decision, Puck offered up an alternative and thought he should have trusted his defense more. What is going on with Connor Williams and why can’t he snap the football anymore? How much is that now affecting Geno Smith?Speaking of Smith, do the guys ever foresee a scenario where Sam Howell starts a game this season over Smith? The final eight games of the season will be tough and you can make a plausible argument that they won’t be favored in those games. Lastly, why has the team been so sloppy this season? That’s a direct reflection on Mike Macdonald.

Ep 436Daily Puck Drop: Sam Howell time? Worst Seahawks OL in team history. Cougs shot at College Football Playoff. Guests: Jim Moore, Go-2-Guy. Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast w/ Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13
Today’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett, welcomed Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, who joins Puck every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also, Tim Booth of the Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree of FOX 13 drop by for their Monday weekly show, Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Jim and Puck jump right into the Seahawks miserable loss and continue to just shake their head at how bad the Seahawks offensive line is. It is without a doubt the worst offensive line in the history of the organization and you can’t really get all that critical of Ryan Grubb or Geno Smith because they can’t get to any of the plays they truly want to run because of how bad the line is. Despite the struggles of the offensive line, Puck and Jim did resist their bet that they made in the beginning of the season where Jim bet Puck $250 dollars that Sam Howell would start a game this season and not because of injury. Puck said he still feels confident in that bet, but he thinks the door is a little bit more open especially with the teams upcoming schedule. Speaking of that schedule, Puck points out to Jim that it’s highly likely that they won’t be favored in any of their remaining eight games. After talking about the Seahawks, they turn their attention to the Cougars, who will find themselves ranked in the top 20 of Tuesday’s first College Football Playoff rankings. ESPN analytics gives the Cougs a 17-percent chance of making the playoffs and if they win their remaining four games, that figure jumps up to 34-percent. Puck and Jim are reveling in the idea that they have shot to make it, but also acknowledge that it wouldn’t be realistic if it weren’t for the schedule they have played. However, Jim is not rooting for the Huskies at all. Jim doesn’t want to see Washington beat Penn State or Oregon, even though it helps the Cougars resume. He’d rather have the Cougs just miss out on the playoffs. Puck thinks Jim is officially crazy. That’s a direct reflection on Mike Macdonald. Finally, Puck wraps up the show with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Cougar fans! Have fun with all the playoff talk. Revel in it. You never know who long it will last. The team has put themselves in a position this season to give themselves a shot. That has been awesome to watch develop!

Ep 435Chris Egan Show: Seahawks fans lost their passion? Is Halloween dead?
Chris Egan, KING 5, joins the show to wrap up a Friday and he and Puck discuss whether or not Seahawks fans have become apathetic and is it no longer a great home field advantage. Should fans that sell their tickets to opposing fans have their season tickets pulled?Egan thinks Halloween is dead and kids don’t care about it as much anymore. You think it’s true? do kids not care about it anymore. Chris also highlights a great trip to Sumner this past Friday for the King 5 “Big Game of the Week” and noted how awesome the environment was and that every high school should model that experience after what Sumner does.
