The Blues are 2–0 to start 2026, but the bigger question is how they’re getting there.
Strong goaltending, heavy minutes from the top of the lineup, and timely goals have carried them early, while familiar issues — turnovers, second-period lapses, and thin margins — still linger beneath the surface. Using recent performances from Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich, we zoom out to evaluate what’s sustainable, what’s fragile, and what this start might actually tell us about the Blues moving forward.
