Today, Stephanie Desmon gets an update from epidemiologist Dr. Chris Beyrer about the status of the pandemic in jails, prisons, and immigration detention centers. Beyrer also talks about the victories they've had with decarceration and releases of individuals who are high-risk for serious COVID-19 illness, the role of community transmission, and what still needs to be done to get hotspots under control.
