About Dr. Barry Schwartz Dr. Schwartz received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and was a professor of psychology at Swarthmore College from 1971 until 2016; he is currently a visiting professor at UC Berkeley. Dr. Schwartz studies the intersection of psychology and economics, with a focus is on how we make decisions, develop wisdom, and why we work.
