In this discussion, Tony and JoAnn talk about making goals and not getting in your own way to achieve them, diabetic retinopathy, the ability of the low carb diet to teach your body how to use fat as fuel, the incredible amount of informational resources out there for people who want to learn about diet, why fat is a more efficient fuel source than carbohydrates, the ill-effects of fat shaming, the immense value of becoming a life-long learner and self-advocate, and the importance of considering happiness and the ends to which our actions are ultimately directed.
