On this episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we look at the topic of growing the sport of swimming. How can elite swimming grow its reach and viewership?
We look at the FINA World Cup Series and ask are they missing a trick by putting racing in tourist destinations rather than traditional swimming countries. The ISL and whether pumping up the top 1% of the sport is the answer.
As well as exploring the thought process that the problem of small audiences may lie within the grassroots of the sport, the learn to swim to club transition, rather than how we present the elite at the top.
