S1 Ep 30030: A Conversation with Mel Green, Success is not Given, its Earnt.
Send us Fan MailIn this episode of "PROCAST BY JOSH," we sit down with Mel Green to explore her fascinating journey into bodybuilding and how she became a top bikini athlete. Mel shares the story of how she first got into competing, her rapid rise to success with her first pro card and multiple podium finishes, and the challenges she faced along the way.As with many successful journeys, obstacles inevitably arise, and Mel's journey is no different. After a string of back-to-back competition seasons, Mel experienced extreme burnout—something that can happen when you’re pushing yourself at full throttle. But instead of letting burnout define her path, Mel made the tough decision to physically remove herself from the environment, which ultimately turned out to be the best move for her both physically and mentally. This decision allowed her to continue her journey as an athlete and achieve even greater success in the years that followed. We discuss the reality that obstacles will always be a part of anyone’s journey. Success doesn’t come easily, and as Mel shares, you can only be successful for so long before you are tested. It’s not about avoiding obstacles; it’s about how you overcome them. Mel’s story is a powerful example of resilience and the importance of taking a step back when necessary to regain focus and purpose.Beyond her competitive success, Mel took a huge step in early 2024 by leaving her corporate job to fully dedicate herself to her passion: coaching others. Now, as a coach, she helps individuals not only with their competition preparation but with their overall lifestyle and personal growth. She is committed to helping others be their best, whether on the stage or in everyday life. This episode highlights a key lesson: success is never given, it’s earned. Even when you have a strong foundation, it’s up to you to continually show up, seek guidance, mentorship, and surround yourself with a supportive environment that will help you grow. Mel’s relentless commitment to improvement and her ability to evolve in the face of challenges have earned her multiple pro cards across different federations, and she continues to set the standard for her clients and others in the bodybuilding community.Tune in to this enlightening episode and be inspired by Mel Green’s story of perseverance, growth, and success in the world of bodybuilding and coaching.
