Politician and activist Alexei Navalny was poisoned with Novichok in August. Now that incident is having regional ripple effects. Pavel Baev is a research professor at PRIO; His work focuses on Russian military reform, energy interests in Russia’s foreign and security policy, and Russia’s relations with Europe and NATO. Given his professional and personal relationship to the country, I asked him to walk us through what this latest poisoning could do to Russia's relations with its allies and neighbors.
