"At daybreak he departed and went into a deserted place."
Jesus’ ministry begins to draw a large crowd in Capernaum. But he retreats from this success to a deserted place. When the crowds find him, they tried to prevent him from leaving them and continuing his ministry to others. But Jesus was renewed in his true calling by being in the deserted place. So are we.
