Derek had the opportunity to talk with his local high school classes about podcasting due to an assignment that they were given that requires them to start their own podcast.
Most of us never understand the importance of publishing our story because we think that no one really cares. Maybe you aren't the podcasting "type" but there are so many other platforms (or even a plain old pen and paper) that your future self and your kids would love to be able to look back on and see what your life was like.
