Overview: COVID-19 has shown more severe infections and increased mortality in the older adult. In this podcast, geriatrician Lee Lindquist, MD, will discuss how the body of older adults is different, and why this increases seniors’ risk for infection and complications from COVID-19. She will review action items for clinicians treating older adults to prevent and manage COVID-19 infection in the unique needs of the geriatric population.
