I am a Type 2 Diabetic. I was diagnosed in December 2022. Since being diagnosed I have made a lot of life style changes with the goal of coming off my diabetes medication. In November 2023 I acheived that goal. I no longer take any medictaion for diabetes. I still use a Continuous Blood Glucose Monitor - CGM to monitor my blood glucose levels. This is my journey and my relationship with medicine and diabetes. I have learned a lot and I am sharing it here.


Stress and Anxiety play a big role in the daily life of a Diabetic, Type 1 or Type 2. So What is Stress, What is Anxiety? I cover both in my book in some detail. But let's talk here for a moment.


Stress is any demand placed on your brain or physical body. Any event or scenario that makes you feel frustrated or nervous can trigger it.

Anxiety is a feeling of fear, worry, or unease. While anxiety can occur as a reaction to stress, it can occur without any obvious trigger.
