Show Notes

A chance now to hear the third episode in talkSPORT’s ‘After The Lights Go Out’ series.

Presented by Steve Harmison and Leon McKenzie, the programme focuses on the struggles of professional athletes following their retirement from sport – and the next instalment features a man who won the Premier League title with Chelsea as well as representing Southampton, Manchester City and England during his career – Wayne Bridge.

Over the course of sixty minutes he discusses a range of topics including run-ins with Jose Mourinho, depression, suffering from homesickness whilst on England duty as well as confidence issues which have affected him adversely.

Since the end of his playing days six years ago, Wayne has taken part in the television series ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ – an experience which did wonders for his self-esteem.
