Luke 16:19-31
It starts and ends with the alpha and the omega Jesus. No one lives in faithful service and self-giving love apart from first and always received the faithful and self-sacrificing love of Christ crucified. Receive Jesus for your forgiveness and He’ll work love in you for neighbor by His Spirit. You don’t need to go inspecting your life for love and charity to prove your faith. Rather remain in His Word and Baptism and Supper, the gifts that give faith and He’ll do all the loving for and through you.
