धूल में नहाए शैतान बच्चे
खेल रहे हैं घरौंदा-घरौंदा।
जोड़ रहे हैं ईट के टुकडे, पत्थर, सीमेंट के गुटके
बना रहे हैं नन्हे-न्हे घर
हँस रहे हैं, तालियाँ पीट रहे हैं।
यह फ़िलिस्तीन का दुर्भाग्य है
कि उसके बच्चे अपने न्हे घरों को बनाने के लिए
चुन रहे हैं मलबा
पड़ोसियों के ज़मीदोज़ हुए मकानों से।
मैंने पूछा क्या कर रहे हो?
