Life inevitably brings suffering, even for Christians, but Scripture reveals how we can find genuine joy in our darkest moments. Through the Gospel foundation of justification by faith, we discover that suffering serves three powerful purposes: it draws us closer to Christ in ways prosperity never could, expands our capacity to minister to others with authentic compassion, and builds Christ-like character through endurance.
