Welcome to the Prairie Podcast. Although it has been a while since the last episode, we have come back roaring! This episode, we are greeted with our President Mark Maxwell debunking myths of faith and work. This is only the first part of a two part series so make sure to tune in for the next episode!

Prairie has provided a place for her to be shaped into who God wants her to be, and she shares some of the things God has been teaching her recently.

In this episode we are joined by Jan Crouch, a Prairie alumnus and wife of the late Graham Crouch who was a professor at Prairie for many years. She shares with us about her journey at Prairie and how she is still involved on campus and around time. Jan describes the profound ways God has been teaching her about slowing down and listening.

Dr. Jim Neumann, our newest faculty member, joins us on the podcast today. Dr. Neumann is passionate about the Bible, particularly the New Testament, and seeing students transformed as they study Scripture. He shares about recently becoming a father and what God has been teaching him in that journey.

Jan shares with us about the unique, wholistic approach to nursing that Prairie provides with the unique combination of nursing and ministry. In today's episode, we are joined by Kylen Koop, a student in our one year Certificate in Bible. She shares with us about her growth during her time at Prairie so far, her enjoyment of the sports teams, and how God is teaching her to trust him.

Today, Zac Parkinson joins us to share about his experience in the Youth Ministry Program and the Songwriting Program. Zac graduated several years ago and is currently working at Prairie as an admissions counsellor, as well as pursuing various music opportunities. He shares with us about foundational truths he learned during his studies at Prairie as well as practical skills that he gained.

In today's episode, we are joined by Dr. Gary Schmidt, professor and Director of the Business program here at Prairie. Dr. Schmidt shares with us about biblical leadership and business administration, as well as his hopes for graduates of the program.

In today's episode, we have the pleasure of hearing from Jasmine Kurian, a 2nd year Intercultural Ministry student. She shares about her experience as an international student at Prairie, preparation for her GlobeTREK internship next year, and what she is learning through her current role as an Impact leader on campus.

In today's episode, Jazzy De Bruyn joins us. Jazzy is a graduate from Prairie's Business degree and started a business called It Is Good Cleaning, which she has been running for the last several years. She shares with us how being a business owner has taught her to trust God more, and how her time at Prairie set her up for success.

Today we are joined by Dr. James Enns for an episode full of stories from his 20+ years on faculty at Prairie. He shares how he met his wife, became and Anglican priest, and many other wonderful anecdotes. From growing up in Europe, to spending several decades in Three Hills, Dr. Enns is full of experience and wisdom, and graciously shares that for our listeners.

In today's episode, we get to hear from Charis about her time in the Outdoor Leadership program. From backpacking trips, to mountain biking, Charis shares about various adventure and her experience as an Explore Intern. Join us to hear about how she has been shaped by her time at Prairie and what God is teaching her at the moment.

In today's episode, Bill Redifer joins us with some fascinating stories from his time at Prairie 45 years ago. He also shares stories of his work overseas in various parts of Asia, as well as how God called him back to Prairie to work at the high school. Listen in to hear what God has taught him through his experiences over the years, as well as what he is learning now in his retirement.

In today's episode, Kelly Steffen joins us to share about his role here on faculty. He tells us about his journey to faith and how he came to join the team at Prairie over 17 years ago. He also shares with us about the new Master of Christian Ministry Leadership that is beginning in January, 2025.
