Show Notes

In this episode of pplpod, we delve into the dark and twisted case of Jeffrey Dahmer, the American serial killer known as the "Milwaukee Cannibal" and the "Milwaukee Monster". Between 1978 and 1991, Dahmer murdered and dismembered seventeen men and boys, committing horrific acts of necrophilia and cannibalism that shocked the world.

We trace the timeline of his crimes, from his first murder of Steven Hicks just weeks after high school graduation to the grisly house of horrors police discovered at his Oxford Apartments residence. We discuss the tragic failure of law enforcement to intervene in the case of 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone and the harrowing escape of Tracy Edwards in July 1991 that finally brought Dahmer's spree to an end.

Finally, we cover Dahmer's trial, where he was found legally sane despite his defense arguing he suffered from necrophilia and other disorders , and his brutal death in prison at the hands of fellow inmate Christopher Scarver in 1994.
