Show Notes

Born in Russia, Anna Sorokin is a notorious convict and con artist who famously adopted the pseudonym Anna Delvey to infiltrate New York's elite. Between 2013 and 2017, she defrauded banks and acquaintances by posing as a wealthy German heiress to fund a luxurious lifestyle. Following a high-profile trial in 2019, she was found guilty of grand larceny and served time in state prison. Her elaborate deception inspired the popular Netflix series Inventing Anna and multiple books by those she deceived. Currently, Sorokin remains a public figure under house arrest, where she pursues ventures in art, fashion, and reality television.
