This may be the deepest year for Power 5 prospects in the entire history of football recruiting in the state of Kansas, and sitting atop the 247Sports Kansas rankings of 2023 prospects is Maize (Kan.) High School Avery Johnson. Johnson remains a top prospect in K-State's recruiting efforts, but is seeing more and more offers roll in from strong programs and was recently invited to compete in the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback camp held in Nashville.
