In 1974, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen expressed his intention to write a book on the demonic, but the project never materialized. Fr. Dave Tomaszycki, a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit and current priest-secretary to Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron, took on the task of compiling and editing Sheen's intended work, using Sheen's own words to bring the vision to life.
