The Dow hit 40,000 for the first time in today’s trading. Which means it took just over 7 years to double from the first time it hit 20,000. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq both reached record highs today as well. But while big round numbers are nice, and get attention, what do they really mean? We’ll explore.
