Named after Micah’s favorite named farm equipment, Gravity Box really dives deep into the agricultural motif. There’s a literal gravity box on the back of their bar. Their tap handles are antique shovel handles, hammers, and assorted tools.
After moving back to Mauston from the beer Mecca of Milwaukee, Micah started homebrewing to fill his void of local quality beer. The closest brewery at the time was half an hour away.
Micah received validation from friends and family that his beer was good. So why not follow that passion to open a brewery for the people?! With no expectations on how successful they’d be, Micah was proud of his beer and what he and his wife, April, created at the brewery!
Lucky for us (and for them), not even trying to open during a global pandemic could hinder Gravity Box Brewing!
