Today’s episode features, Jess, sharing her journey as a young mother.
At 23, Jess was deep in the Melbourne bar scene, working and studying at uni when a surprise pregnancy turned her world upside down. A journey that shaped her into the woman she is today and showed her what she is capable of; teaching her to adapt with strength and resilience.
When she fell pregnant with her second child during Covid times, Jess knew she needed to escape Melbourne and head home to birth baby. Although she felt her first birth in the hospital was a positive experience at the time, it was only after birthing her son in her full power at home that she felt the true essence of an undisturbed, physiological birth.
Her next surprise pregnancy would require a moment to process, as she slowly accepted the next season upon her, embracing all that it entailed. Nearing the end of her pregnancy Jess’s speculation that her daughter was presenting breech became her reality. Entering her birth in complete trust to the process and an unwavering belief in her body’s capability, she went to the depths of the birth realm to bring her daughter home ⋒
