“They read it like a novel and they don’t know all the instructions and all the experiences described. Everything that happened to them as a result of the actions they took is written down in detail, precisely how they recovered in this book. And unless someone unpacks it for you, you cannot read it. I read it for years and didn’t read it because I didn’t realize I was supposed to experience it because someone had to show me precisely how they recovered. So that’s why we do what we do. Okay, so having made our personal inventory, what shall we do about it? How many of you have made a personal inventory? How many of you had someone helping you know what to do about it? So we’ve been trying to get a new attitude, a new relationship with our Creator, and to discover the obstacles in our path. Is that what you’ve been trying to do?”
