Joe explains, “Okay, so then it says we’re now at Step 3. Isn’t that frustrating the way the authors do that? They told us we were at Step 3 like 3 pages ago. The old guy’s been talking for like 40 minutes. Now we’re right back where we started. We’re now at Step 3. But now we have a better understanding of what the Step 3 decision is, don’t we? It’s to enact the manner of living suggested in 4 through 9 and then awaken to the power within me as I serve. Does that make sense? Because all 10, 11, and 12 are going to do is get me disciplined in the practices they showed me in 4 through 9. Does that make sense?”
