“It works when other activities fail, not if they fail. So I think we’ve got to call to people’s attention: if you’re not intending to serve, why go through all the trouble of arming yourself with the facts about yourself? If you said you turned your life and your will over to the care of this power, then why are you not serving this power? And the service of this power requires intimate interaction with his people who need his restoration. Does that make sense? Okay. So then it says this is our 12th suggestion, and then the 12th suggestion follows: Carry this message to other alcoholics. So carry what message? Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. You agree with him?”
