Joe emphasizes the importance of embracing one’s past without regret. “We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. Why? Because our past is our asset. That’s what levels the playing field. That’s what pulls a person out of the darkness to know that somebody who’s been in the darkness knows the way to the light.”
