“Because this is their testimony of being restored from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. And when we start adding our own personal spin to it, that’s fine—that’s for our personal testimony—but as far as how recovery works, this is the model. Does that make sense? So tonight, we’re in Step 12, so we’re going to put it all into action. They warned us last week right at the end: Faith without works is dead. And so then they lead us right into being the hands and feet of this power that we’ve discovered within us.”
Joe discusses how Step 12 brings all the steps together, urging us to actively serve others and live out the principles of recovery in our daily lives. By becoming the hands and feet of this newfound power, we truly embody the spirit of the 12 steps.
