“And if we both do our job, we’ll share a spiritual experience in this room tonight. How many have been here before and can witness for folks that happens? Very good. So those of you joining us online, you can’t see them, but they’re raising their hands. They raised their hand to signify. When we speak of a spiritual experience in 12-step recovery, we’re talking about a sensory experience. You’ll feel it. And when you do, I’ll know and I’ll call it to your attention because we would teach you to talk to you about the power we call God Power without giving you a demonstration of the power. The other thing we do here if you picked up on it is when I say God they say and we do that intentionally because we don’t want people that have prejudice against religious experiences to somehow block themselves from access to the relationship we’re talking about.”
