“I mean I couldn’t stop shaking for weeks. And so they had to write for me. So whatever it takes. But we pocket our pride and go to it, illuminating every twist of character, dark cranny of the past. Why do they use those words? Yeah, and it’s not about perfection. It’s about progress. So the idea is to question your thinking. If you’re thinking, ‘Oh, they don’t need to know that,’ yeah, they do. If you skipped right past it, then it’s probably not occupying any space. Does that make sense?”
