To his point, I probably already know what I ought to be doing, even though I don’t want to be doing it. And sometimes what I ought to be doing, because of the instruction I have received, makes no worldly sense. And that does not dismiss my obligation to carry it out.”
Joe also shares a powerful example of faith in action, discussing the audacity of starting a reentry center in Metro Center at the beginning of a worldwide pandemic—something that had never been done before. This commitment to purpose, even in the face of uncertainty, is at the heart of the 12-step journey.
