“Through prayer and meditation, it starts to make sense why I learned the practices I did up to this point. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. Why not? How am I going to do Step 12 if I don’t have a past? None of us get here on a winning streak—we all have a past, right? And we don’t regret the past because we’re going to use it to lift others up who don’t think they’re redeemable. Any of you remember those days when you didn’t believe yourself redeemable? Who can do that better than you? Who can speak to that better than you? Nobody. And then I take that musty past and convert it into a healing tool for people who can’t get healed any other way.”
