“Anyone know what I’m talking about? So I’m going to have to get honest with the fact that of myself I have no solutions. None. I have to be restrained from me to keep me from tearing me apart or others around me. Okay, so some of us have tried to hold on to our old ideas, and the result was nil until we let go absolutely. How many of you have done that?”
Joe reflects on the experiences of those who have tried to hold on to old ways and the moment of crisis that leads to real change. “See, some people get a fair amount of grace and sort of play the fool for a while, hang out in our fellowships, and then some crisis comes, and they dig in, and all of a sudden they get better. And they go, why didn’t someone tell me this a long time ago? And people like Jim and Paul and Sean are sitting there going, well, we tried.”
