“The fact is that most alcoholics, for reasons yet obscure, have lost the power of choice in drink. I don’t know that we ever have a choice anyway. The chosen don’t choose. And we’ve been chosen for some purpose.”
Wayne emphasizes that those who have walked the path of addiction have a unique ability to reach others who may otherwise remain lost.
