In this session, Joe discusses the common issue of switching addictions. “The doctor came with a heavy sedative. The next day found me drinking both gin and sedative. How many of you did a little cross addiction or switch? One thing I have learned about methamphetamines for a certain class of people is that they solve a drinking problem. Any of you had a similar discovery?”
Joe’s discussion sheds light on the complex nature of addiction and the various substances people turn to in an attempt to manage their dependency. This session emphasizes the importance of recognizing these patterns as part of the journey toward recovery.
