Tragic Accident in Maine: Motorcyclist Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash
A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Greenwood, Maine, Seth Hodgkins, lost his life in a devastating three-vehicle crash in Raymond on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM near Route 85, also known as Webbs Mills Road and Tarkiln Hill Road.
The crash unfolded when a Toyota RAV4, driven by a 23-year-old man from Raymond, made a left turn into Hodgkins lane, causing a head-on collision. The impact threw Hodgkins off his motorcycle, and a following GMC Terrain, driven by a 55-year-old woman from Casco, couldnt avoid him, striking the rider as he lay on the road. Despite wearing a helmet, Hodgkins succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, reminding drivers of the potential dangers of split-second decisions on winding roads.
