Show Notes
Students at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School in Maine had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with astronauts Jessica Meir and Christopher Williams on the International Space Station. The event, organized by the Challenger Learning Center of Maine, allowed the kids to ask questions about space travel, from the discovery of a new bacterium species named after Meir to the best views from space. Meir, a Maine native, shared her experiences and inspired the students, marking the centers first live astronaut link since 2020.
