Despite the snowy winter, the season remains unchanged, but a prolonged winter could compress the season and intensify symptoms. Trees without showy flowers are the main culprits, spreading pollen through the air. Non-drowsy antihistamines like Zyrtec, Claritin, or Allegra can provide relief, but severe cases may require allergist intervention. Stay proactive to manage symptoms and enjoy the spring season. Artificial Intelligence Threatens Gateway Jobs: A New Report from Brookings Metro and Opportunity at Work reveals that AI could disrupt vital stepping-stone roles, like admin and customer service jobs, used by millions without college degrees. Over fifteen million STARs (skilled through alternative routes) are highly exposed to AI takeover, with twenty-three million having low ability to recover from disruptions and three point five million facing both high risk and weak adaptability. AIs potential to boost productivity is overshadowed by its threat to block talent pipelines, undermining the American dream of upward mobility. Regions like the Northeast and fast-growing Sun Belt metros have the highest shares of vulnerable gateway roles. Experts advocate for AI literacy, curiosity, and leveraging human strengths like creativity. Local leaders must provide targeted training, financial aid, and share successful strategies across communities. States and regions must lead the charge to protect these pathways and build resilient workforces before AI disrupts the job market.
