Show Notes

Popcorn Pals interviews Bad Behaviour writer/director Alice Englert about their exciting directorial debut. The film follows Lucy (Jennifer Connelly), a former child actor seeking enlightenment at a retreat led by spiritual leader Elon (Ben Wishaw) while navigating her close yet turbulent relationship with her stunt-performer daughter, Dylan (Alice Englert). In our chat, Alice discusses the slippery slope that is catharsis, what her film is trying to say about enlightenment, how focusing on making a drama helped deliver its dark, satiric laughs, the letters she wrote the cast, including icon Jennifer Connelly, the nuance of Connelly’s brilliant performance and the physical demands of her own role playing a stuntwoman. All this and so much more in this very special episode of Popcorn Pals.

Popcorn Pals is a Popcorn Podcast with Leigh and Tim spin-off series.
