As part of the 2020 spending package now heading to the Senate, lawmakers reached a deal with the Treasury Secretary over a package of tax extenders, which affects a number of energy producers. The House has sent a spending deal package over to the Senate, which includes a number of tax extenders for multiple energy producers, but leaves others out. Plus, the Senate passed a  defense authorization bill that includes sanctions on companies related to the construction of 2 Russian gas pipelines.
