Stewart—Lockdown in Effect Breaking **news** out of **Georgia** as an **active shooter** opened fire at **Fort Stewart Georgia**, one of the largest army bases. The **US Army** base is on lockdown as more information becomes available. An active shooting took place at 11:04 AM today 8/6/25 at Ft. Stewart in Georgia. The sprawling 280,000 facility was locked down. The shooter is in custody and 5 victim's were removed to area hospitals.
