Sam Sethi and Nathan Gathright discuss the development of a new "events feed" feature for podcasts, which would allow podcasters to publish information about live, in-person events like concerts or tours in their podcast RSS feed. They explain how this would work by leveraging existing podcast metadata tags in a new way, and how it could integrate with ticketing platforms to display event details and ticket availability to podcast listeners.
The two also discuss the idea of creating a "radio feed" that would aggregate live/upcoming shows from multiple podcasters, potentially allowing podcast platforms to earn a percentage of plays from this aggregated feed.
