Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Takouj—Wait, did we say “space”? Sorry, we meant the Shibuya train station basement, that’s the real final frontier.

It’s time to reunite with some baby friends, kill the moon, defeat an endless parade of Lucemon transformations, and — like every tourist does in Shibuya — to get inspiration from hallucinations of their imaginary friends after collapsing in the train station basement.

In this episode, we look at how well Frontier’s final arc closes the season, examine the Western vs. Eastern imperial imagery of Lucemon and the Legendary Warriors, and lament poorly constructed distinctions between darkness and evilness. And stay tuned after the credits for talk about Buffy, My Hero Academia, and reactions to Jeff’s tasteless Koichi Falldown Mode joke.
