All the way back in 2008 I launched this podcast and I wanted a term I could hang my hat on so to say. I wanted something sane sounding and yet I wanted it to be accurate as to preparedness at the same time. Within the first few weeks I came up with the concept of “modern survivalism” and hence, “modern survivalist”. At that time I searched for exact matches of both terms and none came up.
