Show Notes
In this episode we hear from the Me first team, Nicola Gorb, Lead practice educator, and Rachel Naunton, Lead Practice Facilitator about why person centred communication is so important for children, young people and families. They talk about how the Me first project came about, what particularly drew them to the project and how Me first can support health and social care workers feel more confident in their knowledge and skills in their communication with CYP, particularly in more challenging situations. They talk about the need for a cultural shift in how we involve young people in conversations and decision making about their care, in order to improve young people’s health outcomes and experience of health care.
