S1 Ep 140Be Strong and Courageous [140]
In this episode, I’m sharing with you some powerful lessons from the book of Joshua that the Lord has been teaching me. Joshua's journey is a story of hearing God's call, stepping into leadership, and moving forward in the face of fear. As kingdom entrepreneurs and podcasters, Joshua’s story holds valuable lessons for us. We are each called by name, given a mission, and invited to step into the inheritance God has for us. Just as Joshua was chosen to lead, we too are chosen to lead and serve others through our work. God is our defender, just as He was for Joshua, and He promises never to leave or fail us. We’ll explore the seven promises from the book of Joshua that apply to all of us as followers of Jesus: We are called by name to know who we are, who God is, and who we are called to serve. We have an inheritance to pursue and take action on. God is our defender. Just as God was with Moses, Joshua, and Jesus, so He is with us. God will never fail us. God will never leave us. We will enjoy victory, abundance, and success when we follow His lead. I’ll share how these promises apply to our journey as Kingdom entrepreneurs and podcasters. Whether you’re struggling with consistency, feeling the fatigue of podcasting, or seeking clarity in your mission, there’s encouragement here for you. It takes courage to say YES to the call on your life, to accept the mission, and to take bold action. How to Start a Podcast Series Step Nine: Master Your Craft [136]
How to Start a Podcast Series: Step Nine Mastering Your Podcast Craft Mastery is all about developing the skills and knowledge to become a pro at something. Just like you wouldn't expect a little kid who wants to do gymnastics to compete in the Olympics right away, or a newbie runner to jump into a marathon without training, podcasting takes time and dedication; it’s all about practice, practice, practice! I’ll share some of my own podcasting ups and downs, including the importance of showing up even when it’s tough. We’ll also cover some practical tips and tools to help you keep going: - Finding a supportive podcasting community for support. - Investing in continuing education - Setting goals and finding accountability partners to stay on track. - Regularly reassess your podcasting goals and strategies. Finally, I’ll answer two big questions: how long does it take to see podcasting results, and what does it take to build a successful podcast? Quotes "When you're in community with other like minded podcasters, it spurs you on to try new things. It encourages you to keep going." "No one expects a four year old who says, "I want to be an Olympic gymnastics girl” to go out onto the floor and do a backhand spring into a back tuck or do the bars right off the bat. That's just not how it works. So it is with podcasting… you have to show up and practice, practice, practice.” Call to Action Hit me up on Instagram www.instagram.com/kristinfieldschadwick and let me know one step you’ll take to master your podcasting craft this next week or month—I’d love to hear from you. How to Start a Podcast Series: Step Four: Podcast Equipment [131]
One of the most common questions both new and seasoned podcasters ask is, “What kind of equipment do I need?” As podcasters, delivering high quality content is the top priority, and achieving this is heavily dependent on the equipment we use. In today’s episode, Kristin walks listeners through step 4 of the "Starting a Podcast '' series, where she dives into the nitty-gritty of the audio components. You’ve already tackled the mindset work; now it’s time to focus on the technical aspects of delivering a great podcast. Few key points from today’s episode: When it comes to podcasting, the quality of your audio can make or break your show. Dynamic microphones are popular among podcasters because they are durable and less sensitive to background noise. While wireless headphones are convenient, wired headphones are a crucial choice for podcasting. Having the right accessories can enhance your recording experience. Remember, your audio matters. Investing in good equipment isn't just about spending money—it's about ensuring that your voice is heard clearly and professionally. How to Start a Podcast Series: Step Three: Content Planning [130]
You need content to podcast…but sometimes we have so many great ideas that it can be really hard to narrow these ideas down and turn them into action. And, with podcasting, your content is crucial. How do you transform those ideas into actual episodes? Today, Kristin is walking listeners through step 3 of starting a podcast…content planning. Content planning is about designing your content to align with who you are and sharing it systematically. Few key points from today’s episode: One of the first decisions you need to make is about the frequency of your episodes. Will you be producing weekly? Biweekly? Whatever you choose, keep it consistent. You need to have a vision. Take time to really sit with the vision of your podcast. What is your ultimate goal? Who is your target audience? What value do you want to provide them? Think of a content plan as a map; it shows you the way but doesn’t restrict you from exploring other locations. Think about what you can offer your listeners. Whether it’s insights, interviews, or entertainment, make sure each episode delivers something valuable. Don’t let a content map or plan limit you; instead, harness it for the power that it holds. With content planning, podcasting becomes much easier and more consistent. It frees up your creativity, allowing you to focus on delivering great content rather than scrambling for ideas at the last minute. Content planning is an essential step in transforming your ideas into actionable podcast episodes. It aligns your content with your identity, ensures consistency, and helps you maintain a clear vision for your podcast’s future. from Today’s Episode: “Take time to really sit with your vision, you need a vision for your podcast” “Use a content plan: you don’t have to be married to it. But, it’s beneficial to have a plan and it allows you to go deeper.” Are you looking for guidance or want to launch a podcast?
