प्रयत्नो विधेयः प्रयत्नो विधेयः

सुन्दरपुरनाम्नि ग्रामे कस्यचन कृषकस्य पुत्रः अनिलः अलसः युवकः निरुद्योगी सन् आदिनं मित्रैः सह इतस्ततः भ्रमन् आसीत् । कदाचित् सूर्यास्तसमये समीपस्थात् पर्वतात् अवरोहद्भिः  आरुह्यमाण: कश्चन वृद्धः लघुना दीपेन सह दृष्टः ।  आचर्येण यदा अनिलः अपृच्छत् तदा सः वृद्धः शिखरस्थं शिवालयं गन्तुम् इच्छामि इति अवदत् । तदनन्तरं यानि हितवचनानि वृद्धेन उक्तानि तानि वचनानि हासः च अनिलस्य मनसि मुहुर्मुहुः गुञ्जनम् अकुर्वन् । उद्यमस्य महत्त्वमपि अवगतं तेन । अपरेद्युः ब्राह्मे अहनि हलं गृहीत्वा गच्छन्तं पुत्रं दृष्ट्वा पित्रा आनन्दः अनुभूतः ।

In a village named Sundarpuri, there was a farmer’s son, Anil, who was a lazy and unemployed youth wandering around aimlessly with his friends. One evening at sunset, he noticed an elderly man descending from a nearby mountain with a small lamp. Out of curiosity, Anil asked him what he was doing. The elderly man replied that he wished to reach the Shiva temple located at the mountaintop. Subsequently, the wise words spoken by the elderly man left a profound impression on Anil. He also came to understand the importance of hard work. The very next day, his father was overjoyed to see Anil waking up early in the morning and heading out with a plow.
