बुन्देलखण्डस्य शासकः अनिरुद्धसिंहः एकदा रणरङ्गतः पलायितः । तदा तस्य भगिनी सारन्धा कोपेन एतादृशेन व्यवाहारेण कुलस्य गौरवं नाशितम्, पलाय्य उचितं कार्यं न कृतं च इति वदति । तस्मात् जागरितः अनिरुद्धः मासत्रयं यावत् युद्धं कृत्वा विजयं प्राप्य प्रत्यागच्छति । तस्य स्वागताय ससन्तोषेण भगिनी सारन्धा पत्नी शीतलादेवी च सज्जा अभवताम् ।

Aniruddha Singh, the ruler of Bundelkhand, once fled from the battlefield. Seeing this, his sister Sarandha angrily said that he has brought disgrace to the family and by fleeing, he has not done the right thing. Moved by her words, Aniruddha decided to fight again. After three months, he returned home victorious. His sister Sarandha and wife Sheetaladevi welcomed him with great joy.
